Geisler Breaks Lernerville Winless Streak With 107th Career Win!

Cranberry Township, PA (April 30, 2008) The Geisler Racing team and National Dirt Late Model Hall of Fame Member Lynn Geisler now have two more wins than they did in 2007. After picking up his 67th career feature win at Pittsburgh’s PA Motor Speedway (PPMS) on April 5th, Geisler won his second race of 2008 and 107th at Lernerville Speedway on Friday, April 18th. April showers kept the ‘Geisler Gang’ off of the Lernerville Speedway until the World of Outlaws Late Model Series came to town on Tuesday, April 15th for the ‘Showdown at Sarvertown’. Lynn hoped to have some momentum after winning opening night at PPMS but was unable to transfer for the 50 lap, $10,000 to win main event. Geisler’s fortunes changed on Friday (18th) as the Hall of Famer battled a hard charging Keith Barbara in the early stages and held off 2007 Lernerville Champion Alex Ferree to pick up his 107th career win at the famed Sarver, PA oval. Geisler followed up his win with a tenth place finish on April, 25th. After two weeks of rainouts at PPMS, Lynn and his #1 Cochran Automotive / Marshall Stamping / Groff Tractor & Equipment Inc. / Tri-State Hose & Supply / Bolea Oil / Hoosier Race Tire / Rocket Chassis GTO finally made their way back to ‘Dirt’s Monster Half Mile’ on Saturday, April 26th. Geisler was running a solid fourth when he spun ending his night with a 14th place finish. Lynn sits third in the Pizza Hut Super Late Model point standings at PPMS and in the Friedman’s Freshmarkets UMP DIRTcar Super Late Model standings at Lernerville. This past Sunday Lynn visited the Challenger Raceway in Jacksonville, PA for the PA State Short Track Championships, Unified Force Race Championship Tour show. After winning his heat race Geisler started the event 12th and finished the race in the 20th spot. Next week Geisler will make his customary weekly stops at Lernerville Speedway on Friday, May 2nd and PPMS on Saturday, May 3rd.
