Lynn Geisler Competes With UFO at the ‘Red Miley Memorial 53’

Cranberry Township, PA (July 16, 2008) The Geisler Racing team and National Dirt Late Model Hall of Fame Member Lynn Geisler had a run of strong top ten finishes, including a win at Pittsburgh’s PA Motor Speedway (PPMS) on Saturday, June 21st, come to an end this past Sunday when Lynn made contact with the turn two wall at PPMS during the Unified Race Championship Tour (UFO) sanctioned ‘Red Miley Memorial 53’. Both Geisler and Geisler Racing teammate Mike Pegher Jr. picked up wins at PPMS on June 21st with Pegher Jr. winning again on Sunday, July 13th. The wins were the third of the season for both of the Geisler Racing teammates. Sandwiched in between those wins were a couple top five runs for Lynn as he finished third at both Lernerville Speedway and PPMS during the Fourth of July weekend. On Friday, July 11 Geisler and his #1 Cochran Automotive / Marshall Stamping / Groff Tractor & Equipment Inc. / Tri-State Hose & Supply / Bolea Oil / Hoosier Race Tire / Rocket Chassis GTO cruised to a seventh place finish at Lernerville before PPMS’s feature on the 12th was rained out after two laps. The following Lynn ran into some unfortunate luck. During the UFO sanctioned ‘Red Miley Memorial 53’ at PPMS Lynn was battling with Steve Baker, John Flinner, and Jim Stephans going into turn one but ran out of room in turn two and made contact with the wall. Andy Kennedy and the Geisler Racing team got Lynn back on the track for the ensuing restart but Geisler pulled off after one lap ending his night. R.G.
